Biography
30 years of singing and
playing, 200 songs written, 4 original cd’s on the market and Kim
feels like she is just getting started on her career.
With the formation of
Doo-A-Little Music Co., she not only can be found promoting her own
music, but that of others.
Under the umbrella of
this comes the Great Girl Singers, debuting in Perbourough on the 15th
of May at Market Hall, and booked already for July 1 at Crary Park,
The United Way Benefit, as special guests at with Jeff Healey on July
22nd, the Liftlock Cruises, and a host of private events. This is an
up and coming local act to watch.
She has shared the
stage with many performers including Downchild, Big Sugar, Jeff
Healey, The Barenaked Ladies, Kim Stockwood, Bruce Guthro, Colin
James, Quartette, as well as playing many festivals and events across
Canada throughout the years.
Kim is putting the
finishing touches on a new blues/Jazz album she has written and is
hoping to be in the studio recording it by the fall of 2004.
When not singing, she
is playing bass,. Writing, jingle singing or indulging any
musical opportunity to stretch that comes her way.
“Playing music for me is
not an option, it is a given, kind of like my right arm. It used
to be about being famous, now it is about being a musician and having
my songs heard and understood, and hopefully appreciated.”
